Video - Moutet's Incredible Defense Against Tabur at Roland-Garros

Corentin Moutet at Roland-Garros always promises unforgettable moments. The Frenchman had already delighted spectators during his run last year (he reached the round of 16 after victories against Jarry, Shevchenko, and Ofner before falling in four sets to Sinner) and is determined to thrill his home crowd once again this year.
Facing his compatriot Clément Tabur in the first round of the 2025 edition, Moutet took the first set 6-3 after breaking away in the seventh game.
On the break point that put him ahead in the score, the 26-year-old delivered an exceptional defensive play, relentlessly countering his opponent's smashes.
In the end, he pulled off a stunning backhand passing shot to win the point, earning a roaring ovation from the Court Simonne-Mathieu crowd (see below).
A point somewhat reminiscent of Andy Murray's in the second round of the 2023 Australian Open against Thanasi Kokkinakis. For the record, the winner of this all-French clash will face Novak Djokovic in the next round.
