Video - The Monumental Hawk-Eye Error in the Match Between Kecmanovic and Majchrzak in Athens
Hawk-Eye, now used in all ATP tournaments to replace line judges, continues to make mistakes every season.
In Athens, one of the last tournaments of the year, the system experienced a major flaw right from the first round match between Miomir Kecmanovic and Kamil Majchrzak.
While Kecmanovic was facing a break point in the first set, the Serbian hit a backhand that landed quite wide in the alley.
However, the point was awarded in his favor, without the chair umpire or Majchrzak noticing the error.
