Taylor Fritz had a quality 2024 season. A finalist at the US Open and Masters, the American finished the year in a fine 4ᵉ place in the world.
Long considered a player with a fearsome serve, Fritz confirms his change of category. He has become a complete player capable of being dangerous in almost every area of the game.
As well as enriching his tennis, the 27-year-old has also become much more solid mentally. A sequence from his Masters semi-final clearly illustrates this (see video below).
Against Alexander Zverev, he was pushed to the limit and finally came through in the tie-break of the last set (6-3, 3-6, 7-6).
However, this outcome was only possible because he was able to ward off the numerous break points he faced in this final act, particularly at 2-2.
