Volandri on Sinner: "He wrote to me every day"
Italy won the Davis Cup last Sunday against Spain. Jannik Sinner, a major absence from the Italian team's journey, nevertheless closely followed his team's performances.
Filippo Volandri, the captain, revealed that he had been regularly in contact with the world number 2 throughout the past week.
On the Italian radio show Un Giorno da Pecora, he stated: "During our discussion after the Davis Cup, he congratulated us on the victory. And every day, he wrote to me individually to say: 'Keep going as always, keep the group united and trust the players.'"
