During the North American tour, Emma Raducanu hired Francisco Roig as her main coach.

The former mentor of Rafael Nadal accompanied the British player in Cincinnati and at the US Open.

Under his watchful eye, Raducanu won her first two matches in New York since her 2021 title, before being stopped by Elena Rybakina in the third round.

For the Tennis365 website, she gave an update on the beginning of their collaboration:

"We are going to work together until the end of the year. I am looking forward to getting back to training. It has only been three weeks, but they have been quite fruitful because we have made good progress. I feel that some aspects of my game have improved.
