What if Novak Djokovic wins another Grand Slam at 38? Rick Macci believes it (almost) firmly

Rick Macci, mentor of the Williams sisters, has analyzed the future of Novak Djokovic. And according to him, at 38 years old, he could still win a Grand Slam title in 2026.

"Novak can win a Grand Slam in 2026... under two conditions"

However, for Macci, this scenario is not automatic. It depends on two very clear conditions, which he shared in a message posted on X.

"Novak can win a Grand Slam in 2026... under two conditions: that Alcaraz or Sinner get injured or struggle, and that he doesn't have to play grueling fifth sets that prevent him from recovering. But of course he can win: he's already done it."

A phrase filled with respect, but also with lucidity. Because in his eyes, Djokovic hasn't lost his genius, but he no longer has the same margin.

2026: the last battle?

The coming year could be the last great opportunity for the Serb to rewrite history once again.

He has the motivation, the experience, but the reality of the tour is relentless. And to lift a 25th major title, Djokovic will have to rely as much on himself as on the weaknesses of his rivals.

Hello I'm new

I am surprised about relatively low attendance at Roland Garros which was the most popular slam 20+ years ago. I myself love it as well as really loving aus and us opens. I don't care about Wimbledon, sometimes maybe I can watch women's tennis. I hate Wimbledon's white dress code, I feel like I am watching junior tennis...I watched very few matches like Graf davenport final in 1999 the last time.....
