With 7 withdrawals, Cincinnati joins the club of the most decimated ATP tournaments
The Cincinnati Masters 1000 has only reached the quarterfinal stage, yet the tournament has already seen 7 withdrawals.
The reason? The current heatwave in Ohio. According to the X account *Jeu, Set et Maths*, the 2025 edition of the Cincinnati tournament has entered the Top 5 of tournaments with the most withdrawals since the Open Era.
The Top 4 consists of Shanghai in 2009 with 9 withdrawals, Madrid 2025 with 9 withdrawals, Miami 2013 with 8 withdrawals, and Indian Wells with 7 withdrawals.
We can only hope this wave of withdrawals will come to an end in Cincinnati and that all players will be able to compete at their best.
