World No. 19 Liudmila Samsonova secured her spot in the Wimbledon quarterfinals after defeating Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in two tight sets (7-5, 7-5).
The Russian, who has had a strong grass-court season with a semifinal run in Bad Homburg, continues her flawless journey at the All England Club without dropping a single set so far.
At 26 years old, Samsonova will face either Iga Swiatek or Clara Tauson in her very first Grand Slam quarterfinal. The two will play in the second match on Centre Court.
