WTA Rankings: Gracheva the Only Frenchwoman in the Top 100
Since Caroline Garcia dropped out of the top 100, only one Frenchwoman remains among the world’s top 100 players.
That player is Varvara Gracheva, currently ranked 65th in the world and naturalized in 2023.
The 24-year-old player recently reached the second round at Indian Wells, where she lost to Andreeva (7-5, 6-4), and suffered a first-round defeat in Miami against Park (3-6, 7-6, 6-3).
Caroline Garcia is now the second-highest-ranked French player on the WTA tour (101st), followed by Parry (115th), Paquet (119th), Jeanjean (122th), Jacquemot (135th), Burel (136th), Ponchet (154th), and Janicijevic (174th).
Leonard (185th) rounds out the French contingent in the top 200.
