WTA Rankings: Swiatek Regains Her 2nd Place, Gracheva Returns to the Top 100

Another week has concluded on the WTA tour, highlighted by Iga Swiatek's victory in the Cincinnati final against Jasmine Paolini.

This win allows the Polish player to reclaim her 2nd place and slightly close the gap on Aryna Sabalenka, who holds a lead of just over 3000 points.

The biggest climb of the week belongs to Varvara Gracheva, who, thanks to her quarterfinal appearance in Cincinnati, returns to the Top 100 and is now ranked 83rd.

A semifinalist in Ohio, Veronika Kudermetova moves up 10 spots to 26th, securing her a seeded status at the US Open.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
