"You are a legend to me," Paolini's tribute to Errani after their doubles triumph at Roland Garros

This Sunday, Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini won their first Grand Slam title together. After triumphing on the same Philippe-Chatrier court during the Paris Olympics final last summer, the two Italian players prevailed over the pair Danilina/Krunic (6-4, 2-6, 6-1) to claim victory at Roland Garros.
It marked the perfect conclusion to a fortnight for Errani, who had also won the mixed doubles title with Andrea Vavassori last Thursday. Paolini, the world No. 4 in singles, paid tribute to her compatriot after the match during the trophy ceremony.
"I am so happy about this title. Last year, we lost in the final (against the pair Gauff/Siniakova), and it was tough, but now we are here with this trophy, and it’s amazing. I want to thank Sara (Errani)—this was her last Roland Garros in singles—and I want to thank her endlessly.
You are an inspiration to me, you are a champion, an incredible person, and I have to thank you. You’ve made me a better player, and it’s incredible to have you by my side and to share this moment with you. You are a legend to me," Paolini said, as reported by Super Tennis.
