Zverev Joins Rune in Munich Tournament Final
Zverev defeated Marozsan in the semifinals of the Munich tournament (7-6, 6-3).
After a tightly contested first set, the two players had to settle the score in a tie-break. The German gained the upper hand over the Hungarian (7-3).
In the second set, the world No. 3 dominated without difficulty, securing his 38th ATP final. Despite playing aggressive tennis, Marozsan committed many unforced errors—28 in total. He had previously defeated Humbert in the round of 16.
Zverev will face Rune, who defeated Khachanov, for a third title in Bavaria after 2017 and 2018.
