I watched Carlos in at least 50 matches, and this is by far his most erratic performance. He made some great shots, which is a trademark of his playing style, but the number and manner of his mistakes, especially on his forhend side, is remarkable. I'm not saying he'll repeat that in following rounds, but he'll have to get that in order or else. From the fourth round, it will be Zverev or Berrettini, then Tiafoe or Rune. There is no chance of getting away with this game level against those guys.

I cant believe Carlos is playing the same day of Djokovic its 2nd round. He should have played today. Now Djokovic has a 2 days of rest handicap compared to Carlos.

I don't think he'll play at the lower level against those guys though. He's in 'do enough' mode. I also think he's experimenting a bit.

I think experimenting a bit is a good thing

The match will be over in 2 hours. At the start of big 3s career these things used to happen all the time as roof was not there. In Wimbledon this happened almost every year because of British weather.It's only 2nd 3rd round. It won't matter.
