Danil is a heavy favorite in this match up. Amongst other reasons, his shot selection is way more wiser than what Felix does, and how Felix goes about his game approach. He tends to press to much, more than he can manage to maintain for prolonged period of time. That often tends to look like naive, costly approach to the game management. Felix was always a great talent, but he still has to go long way to master appropriate shot selection. On the paper, Medvedev should win it in 3 or 4 sets, but sport is full of surprises, and if surprise happens tonight, it won't be the first, nor the last time. If it wasn't for uncertainty, and surprises, we wouldn't bother watching it most of the time. That's the beauty of sport to have that element of uncertainty. I hope for a good one, and I'm especially interested to see on strategic side how Felix is going to attack, and how successful would he be charging the net, especially while Medvedev is returning from very deep behind baseline.

Straight 3 set win for Danni this will be a walk in the park for him.

Felix should win this over the Hungarian. Although Medv has a little more experience over the young Canadian, I see the crowd will support the kid.

If someone is actually able to beat him then for sure that guy will be the biggest thing after the big 3 for sure because novak has only lost to stan, thiem, rafa in the last 4 or final of a slam since 2015. Last guy to beat him in sf or final of a slam apart from the guys i mentioned above was nishikori in 2014 and if we talk since 2011 then he has lost 2 semi final to roger in 2012 wimby and 2011 french and 2 finals to andy at us open and wimby 2013 and rest against the guys i mentioned above.No one else has defeated him in slams after quarters since 2011. That just shows how big the odds are for him to do a Calendar slam.
