Yes of course: post-injury, with a hernia for life to deal with (those never fully heal), without a coach, rusty and with a declared intention to take it easy and chill the first 3-4 month of the year, yes, considering all that, she has no excuse.

Yes, i know Kaia was injured and rusty as well, but this was always gonna be a tough one, as their last encounter stays proof for.

No way.. Uh oh.

Side note, kanepi not played a match since USO? Was she injured again?

syuceer13
Yeah, it's the recurring heel injury. Until recently she was still recovering and I'm not sure if she'll be 100 percent against Halep. Obviously she won't be as fit as she was in USO, also, given her history in Melbourne Park, I don't expect her to beat Halep as comfortably as she did on Louis Armstrong. However, Halep's also been injured since months. It will be interesting to watch no matter what. Hopefully it will be day match as Kaia likes to play in heat more than Halep ?

U got this Kanepi

Simona doesn’t get center court but Keys and Aiava do? I understand giving Aussies a platform but a Grand Slam Title should speak for itself...
