Tbh he's not playing better than usual, he's just a kryptonite for Jannik, heavy hit vs heavy hit, but the difference is that Arthur got variations, precision, and punishing serve.

He got the same tools and weapons, and some others, for Jannik it's too much to deal with. It's always the case for matchup with same gameplay/gameplan, the clash is often won by the one with experience and more tools.

If it was someone else we would see more unforced errors from Arthur, maybe less rallye, and even more df.

But it's not the case here.

@Diego Jannik is quite a bad exemple, his tennis isn't evolving, and he have few tools compared to others (he's not in the same category than Stefanos imo, not at all, he got not that many shots, he doesn't adapt well, and he thinks a bit before hitting, imo it's something that Stefanos already doesn't have to).
He's playing way too much and doesn't take time to evolve/step up his tools.

He got time to develop his tennis and his body. His force (tenniswise) is a weakness at the moment, the real force isn't his arm, it's not the speed or the spin of the balls he hits, as we could imagine, but it is his mental, I think he's the one from the next gen with the best recover/reset abilities, but he still doesn't adapt well during matches, it can seem dumb to say but I see him as a machine, but not well programmed. (Exception to this match, at the end of third set he was getting emotional)

I dont picture Arthur winning this match but he can totally make the surprise, Jannick got 0/6 not that long ago, I hope he watched and learned of that set

its time to show that he can compete against that type of players, he needs to make short balls and to slice as possible every shots he can, Jannick is not a safe shot player and Arthur can make him suffer by using this force against him, making It his weakness
