It really hurt your soul that women are winning money. Disgusting behavior as always when these individual talk about women.

None of the tournaments wanted to pay equal money as they don't genarate the same income. They have started equal payment in the last 10-15 years because of movement made outside the court. Many smaller tournaments other than GS still don't pay the same because of the same reason. No one is stopping anyone to go watch women's match but the stadium is literally empty. Forget about Nadal Djokovic. Rune Stef match had much more spectators than this. Your name is Tennis in Numbers but I don't think you are seeing the simple equation here. Let's accept it as charity and nothing else

This is not about viewership of one match. Nadal Djokovic has played more GS finals than any pair in history to earn the viewership and excitement. Even in their advanced age their QF match tomorrow has and will generate more excitement than any women's match in the last decade. This is about not that also. The simple matter is the seats are empty. The tournament is not generating same money through seats let alone viewership. But the pay is equal. 🙂

@Pritam if it was financially a liability for the organizers they won't pay equal. The viewership rights that channels get earn much more than the tickets sold. Agreed Nadal Djokovic match will produce more excitement than any women match, but it will also produce more excitement than any other men's match. So should Djokovic and Nadal be paid more than rest of the men ?

@Pritam don't change the goal post now. Popularity does not determine the match fees, it determines the endorsements you get. Serena Williams is more popular than all the men expect the 3. She should be separately paid more than the other men ? Osaka sells more tickets than Iga, so she should be given more winning amount ? Have some sense before you speak

The ticket sales and viewership is less but the payout is same. That is called charity and nothing else. Popularity generates income and determines prize money. Why do you think Wimbledon has more prize money than 250 tournament? As it gets more viewership and popularity. Nothing else.

No one has a problem when Women models genarate absolutely huge amount of more money than men. Why do they do that? Because I know many women's model and none of the men. They should earn more there. They deserve it. But, when men earn more because of the very same reason that becomes unfair and degrading to women. 🙂

Tennis in numbers, your logic is wrong. So, existance of Rafa and Nole will give more money to the tournament, so the payment for men's tennis should be paid more.

In other words, consistence of men's tennis will give more money than non-consistence of womens tennis. GS finals tickets are being sold for months before the start of the tournament, because people know that they will watch good mach. But for women's final, I should only expect 32. vs 70. WTA ranking in finals

Tennis in numbers: you mean this about Grandslams. See the rights for ATP and WTA. Just check the figures for yourself. ATP tournaments has 3 times more viewership than WTA. If Grandslams rights were sold separately the same would have been the case for Grandslams also. Women get paid more in GS because of popularity of men's tennis.
