Its all because of the amazon deal they struck which stipulated there had to be one main match played in the eveing for there viewers prime time viewers.

This enabled them to get top revenue which was passed on to the players. It ofset the drop in revenue due to the pandemic causing les crowd attendance.

But yes even so for us at home crowdless viewing is also as boring as hell. Esp with the analytical commentators whom just cant shut up and allow us to enjoy the present moments tennis. All ways analyzing every single point. What should have happened. What could have happened, bla bla bla.. non stop blabbering.Never ending boring tennis lesson. So sick of watching with no sound. Apparently Amazon have come up with a no commenty option calling it Atmoshphere only.
