I bet 80% of the highlights are Fonseca's points, Fritz vents to Tennis TV about his Eastbourne match recap

Taylor Fritz, a three-time Eastbourne champion, advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating young talent Joao Fonseca (6-3, 6-7, 7-5).

When Tennis TV posted the match highlights on Instagram, the world No. 6 didn’t hold back, suggesting the video would heavily feature his opponent’s winning shots:

"Commenting before watching the points… I bet 80% of the highlights are Fonseca’s. Maybe 1 or 2 points of mine where I win. […] Update: I was right."

Fritz later deleted his comments.

Players and fans already know that they keep pushing this kid in the marketing like he is some kind of star or something.

A few months ago Fonseca was playing challengers and several ATP accounts were promoting and hyping him there.

It is beyong embarrasing what they are doing with this kid.

Just like that did with Carlos. A product of carefully choreographed PR. And people fall for it.

It isn't Fonseca's fault Fritz game doesn't lend itself well to highlights.
