Deleting your TennisTemple account

Last updated: 05/10/2026

You can delete your TennisTemple account yourself, at any time and free of charge.

How to delete your account

  • On the website: sign in, open your account settings and choose "Delete my account".
  • In the app: go to Settings › Privacy; the delete button is at the bottom of the screen.
  • By email: if you can no longer sign in, write to contact@tgnc.fr, if possible from the email address linked to your account. We may ask you to prove that the account is yours before deleting it.

Before you delete it, you can download a copy of your data: in your account settings, choose "Download my data".

The 5-day period

Your account is not erased straight away. It is scheduled for deletion and erased after 5 days. During those 5 days:
  • we send you an email confirming the request;
  • a banner reminds you of the deletion date on every page while you are signed in;
  • you can cancel at any time, in one click from the banner or from your account settings.

After 5 days, the deletion is final and cannot be undone. We send you a last email once it is done.

What is deleted

  • your profile, your email address, your sign-in methods (password, Google, Facebook, Apple) and your settings;
  • your comments, forum posts, private messages and group messages;
  • your follows, likes, notifications, devices and sessions;
  • your bug reports and suggestions.

What we keep, and why

  • Published content: articles, news and columns you published, and your past predictions in the rankings, remain, but under an anonymous name. Nothing links them to you any more.
  • Purchase records: until the end of the tenth full year after the purchase, as French accounting law requires (Code de commerce, art. L123-22); they are then deleted.
  • Proof of consent: the record that you confirmed your age and accepted the Terms of use when you signed up, as evidence of that consent.
  • Banned accounts: a pseudonymised fingerprint to prevent the creation of a new account meant to get around the ban, until the ban ends.

Other records follow the retention periods in our Privacy policy.
