The Canadian continues to deliver high-level performances. In Shanghai, Félix Auger-Aliassime scored a stunning victory against world number 9 Lorenzo Musetti (6-4, 6-2), advancing to the quarterfinals of a Masters 1000 for the 11th time in his career. A symbolic milestone has been reached: his 60th quarterfinal on the ATP Tour.

He had fallen off the radar, but Félix Auger-Aliassime is well and truly back. Even better: he has never seemed so solid against Top 10 players.

On the center court in Shanghai, a serene, methodical, and powerful "FAA" unfolded his game against Musetti. In 1 hour and 24 minutes, the Canadian dominated his opponent. A powerful serve, aggressiveness in rallies (23 winners), and impressive resilience.

With this qualification, Félix Auger-Aliassime joins a select group of players under 30 who have reached 60 or more quarterfinals on the ATP Tour. Only eight players are in this club, including Alexander Zverev (105), Daniil Medvedev (85), and Stefanos Tsitsipas (83).

Additionally, with a record of 5 wins and 4 losses against the ATP Top 10 this season, Félix ranks among those with a positive ratio, alongside: Carlos Alcaraz (13-3), Jannik Sinner (9-4), Learner Tien (5-3), and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (5-4).

In the quarterfinals, Auger-Aliassime will face Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, who caused an upset by defeating Zverev in the third round.

What if tennis lost its soul? The case of robotized officiating, between tradition and a dehumanized modernity

Omnipresent cameras, line judges on the verge of extinction, mistakes that persist nonetheless: technology fascinates as much as it divides. Tennis, at a crossroads, is still searching for its balance between progress and emotion.

Is padel threatening tennis? Inside the revolution shaking up the established order

Born almost by accident in an Acapulco garden, padel has in fifty years become a global phenomenon that both fascinates and worries tennis. Its meteoric rise is already reshaping the landscape of racket sports.

As a laboratory for tomorrow’s tennis, does the Next Gen Masters have a future?

Conceived as a bold bet to prepare for the post–Big 3 era, the Next Gen Masters has shaken up the codes of modern tennis. A pioneering, visionary tournament, but now in search of an identity.

From controversial reform to fiery statements, the Davis Cup continues to divide. Between nostalgia for the old formats and unwavering love for the jersey, players share their truths about a competition that, despite everything, still makes hearts race.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
