Indeed, the crowd at the Shanghai Masters 1000 witnessed exchanges that seemed to never end. In the round of 16, Medvedev and Tien met for a second confrontation after their duel in the second round of the Australian Open earlier this year (Tien's victory: 6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 1-6, 7-6). This match therefore promised a lot.
