After Toronto, Dimitrov Also Withdraws from the Cincinnati Masters 1000

Grigor Dimitrov has not been spared from injuries in recent months. The Bulgarian, ranked 20th in the world, has been forced to retire in his last five Grand Slam tournaments.
In the round of 16 at Wimbledon, Dimitrov was leading two sets to love against Jannik Sinner before injuring himself after a serve in the third set. After throwing in the towel, the 2017 ATP Finals winner underwent tests that revealed a partial tear in his pectoral muscle.
Dimitrov now hopes to return for the US Open. As expected after his injury, the 34-year-old player withdrew from the Toronto Masters 1000, which begins next week, but will also skip the Cincinnati Masters 1000.
A winner in Ohio eight years ago against Nick Kyrgios, Dimitrov will not be present this year, becoming the third player to withdraw from the tournament after Jack Draper and Hubert Hurkacz, who are also injured. Vit Kopriva replaces the Bulgarian in the main draw.
