Atmane Eliminates Holt and Advances to the Guangzhou Challenger Final

Since early April, Terence Atmane has been competing in back-to-back tournaments on the Challenger circuit. After clinching the title in Busan, South Korea, two weeks ago against Adam Walton, a top-100 player, the 23-year-old Frenchman is set to compete in another final.
Indeed, the world No. 136 has delivered a flawless performance to earn the chance to fight for a second trophy this season.
Following his victories against Te Rigele (5-7, 6-3, 6-1), Marat Sharipov (7-5, 7-6), and Ilia Simakin (1-6, 7-6, 7-5), Atmane defeated Brandon Holt, the tournament’s second seed, in straight sets (6-4, 6-3). At the same stage of the competition in Busan, the Frenchman had already gotten the better of the American.
The left-hander will face either Tristan Schoolkate, ranked 122nd in the world, or Alibek Kachmazov, as he aims to add his name to the winners' list for the second time, having already lifted this trophy in 2023.
