ATP 500 Dallas: Fritz, Paul, Shelton and Ruud in the draw, Machac-Nishikori in Round 1
The Dallas tournament moves into the ATP 500 category this season, after three editions played as an ATP 250.
For this 2025 edition, the stars of American tennis will be present, as Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul (defending champion) and Ben Shelton will occupy three of the top four seeds in the draw.
Fritz will start against Arthur Rinderknech, Paul against his compatriot Jenson Brooksby, who has been awarded a wild-card, and Shelton against Aleksandar Vukic.
Casper Ruud, ranked 7th in the world, will be seeded n°2 and will start his tournament against Cameron Norrie.
Among the 1st round matches, Tomas Machac will face Kei Nishikori in a duel that promises to be a thriller, last year's semi-finalist Adrian Mannarino will play Rinky Hijikata and Denis Shapovalov will challenge Miomir Kecmanovic.
