Becker Delighted by Sinner's Return: "Tennis Needs Jannik as Much as Carlos Alcaraz"
Currently suspended until May 4, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner will officially make his return to the ATP Tour in the coming days at the Rome Masters 1000.
The Italian, who won the Australian Open earlier this season, has been cleared to resume training in recent days and was spotted on the courts of Monte-Carlo hitting balls with Jack Draper. Tennis legend Boris Becker is thrilled about Sinner’s return to the circuit after a three-month absence.
"I’m happy that Sinner is back. I think tennis needs Jannik as much as Carlos Alcaraz. In my opinion, the entire sports world is waiting for his return.
Spain is very lucky to have Alcaraz, and the same goes for Italy with Sinner. They are incredibly important for tennis.
Carlos is a magician on the court, but he’s also a human being, and humans aren’t perfect," the former German player told *Tennis Up To Date*.
