We last saw Matteo Berrettini in tears during the third round in Rome, forced to withdraw in front of his home crowd due to a relapse of his abdominal injury.

The Italian, a finalist at Wimbledon in 2021, knew he needed to take a break and logically withdrew from the French Open. However, he will also miss the first week of the grass-court tour, having announced his withdrawal from Stuttgart.

The world No. 30 had won the German event twice, in 2019 and 2022. He may make his return at Queen’s Club, where his name is on the entry list.

Roman Safiullin benefits from this withdrawal to enter the main draw.

He stopped working with his masseur or coach who had been involved with Janik's doping scandal.

Also, we know that the Italian sports federation researched how easily cholestebol can be transmitted and how easy it could be detected as a result.

Italian sports people are very suspicious.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
