Daphnée Mpetshi Perricard Invited by the Organizers of the WTA 250 Cleveland Tournament

On August 17, the WTA 250 Cleveland tournament will take place, serving as a final rehearsal for some players on the women's circuit before the US Open, which begins the following week.
Already registered for the tournament several weeks ago, Loïs Boisson, who withdrew from the WTA 1000 events in Montreal and Cincinnati due to a left adductor injury, will return to competition in Cleveland and hopes to regain her rhythm before the start of the season's final Grand Slam.
But Boisson won’t be the only French player competing in this Ohio tournament. Indeed, Daphnée Mpetshi Perricard will also be present in the American event.
Ranked 885th in the WTA rankings, Giovanni’s younger sister has received a wild card and will compete in the main draw of a top-tier tournament for the first time in her career. At just 16 years old, she had participated in the Roland-Garros qualifiers in 2023, 2024, and 2025 but failed to reach the main draw in Paris.
