Davis Cup: Dates for Croatia-France Second Round Qualifiers Revealed
The French team will attempt to reach the Davis Cup Final 8 in the coming months. After their opening victory against Brazil (4-0) last February in Orléans, Paul-Henri Mathieu's players will now travel to Croatia, specifically to Osijek, on September 12 and 13.
The two teams will compete on indoor clay courts, as confirmed by the competition organizer, the International Tennis Federation (ITF), in recent hours.
Additionally, the French team has confirmed that the first match will take place on Friday, September 12, starting at 4 p.m., followed by a second singles match. On Saturday, doubles will kick off the action before potential decisive singles matches if needed.
If they succeed against the Croatians, who previously defeated Slovakia in the previous round, the French team will advance to the final phase of the competition, set to take place in Bologna from November 18 to 23.
Should they fail to overcome the team led by Velimir Zovko, the French players will not compete in Italy at the end of the year but will still secure their place in the World Group for 2026.
