Dimitrov's Manager Announces Withdrawal from US Open, Ending One of His Records
For the media outlet TennisKafe, Grigor Dimitrov's manager confirmed that the player will not compete in the US Open. Already withdrawing from Toronto and Cincinnati, the Bulgarian will therefore miss the entire North American tour.
Dimitrov suffered a right pectoral injury during his match against Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon. This withdrawal from the US Open will end a record he held: the active player with the most consecutive Grand Slam appearances.
Dimitrov has played every Grand Slam since the 2011 Australian Open, totaling 58 tournaments.
