Djokovic enjoys Kyrgios' company: "I want to thank Nick for playing with me".
Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios put on a show in Brisbane on Monday, winning their first round match against the Erler/Mies pair.
Although things will get tougher in their next match against the tournament's No. 1 seeds Mektic/Venus, Djokovic first wanted to take advantage of the moment to compliment his partner:
"I want to thank Nick for playing with me. He said the other day that it would be a pleasure to play this double.
Yes, Nick, it's a pleasure. I'm looking forward to sharing the court with him on his return to the tour.
I haven't played much doubles in my career, especially in the last five years. What Nick was saying, I was actually following."
