Fritz: I knew I was going to give it my all in this tournament

Taylor Fritz defeated Alejandro Tabilo in three sets at Indian Wells.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, he discussed his physical condition and his next-round opponent, Jack Draper.

"I feel healthy. But, tennis-wise, I’m not going to feel as good as I have in the past, when I was playing a lot and with confidence.

I had to take some time off to recover. I didn’t have a proper preparation. I knew I was going to give it my all in this tournament, and that’s what I’m going to do.

Against Draper, it’s going to be a tough match.

I think, as the No. 4 seed, it’s a very tough draw to have to face him as early as the third round.

He’s a very good player. I believe he’s probably better than his ranking suggests, and in the past, we’ve had some close battles."
