Unusual - Fans dressed as bees during Alcaraz's match
Bees and Carlos Alcaraz have become a recurring joke at Indian Wells. It all started last year during his match against Alexander Zverev, where he was attacked by bees.
A beekeeper had then come onto the court to resolve the issue.
The same person was invited onto the court during the match between Quentin Halys and Alcaraz to take a photo before the start of the encounter.
During the Spaniard's match against Denis Shapovalov, fans came dressed as bees.
A gesture that greatly amused Alcaraz. He stated in the post-match press conference: "It's something funny, it really helped me throughout the first set, I looked at them and laughed.
I always say that when I laugh, that's when I have the most fun on the court and show my best tennis.
It's probably thanks to them that I was able to show that level of tennis. I only realized it during the second game, when the camera showed them on the screen, so it was funny.
At the end, I took a selfie with them, I think they deserved it."
