Gauff and the Double Fault Conundrum

Even though Coco Gauff advanced, though not without difficulty against Danielle Collins, a recurring issue persists in her matches: her double faults.

The American committed 23 double faults against her compatriot, setting a new personal record, surpassing the 21 she made last March against Moyuka Uchijima.

These 23 double faults account for, as reported by the X account *Jeu, Set et Maths*, 43% of her second serves played against Collins.

This represents a significant handicap for Gauff, even though she ultimately won. A handicap the American will need to address in the future if she hopes to continue improving.

There really is no excuse, except for injury or severe fatigue, for that many double faults. It's difficult to believe a professional tennis player with professional coaches and even high tech tennis schools like Roddick has that can analyze a players biomechanics can't figure this out and resolve it. Even if it's mental/emotional, that can should be able to be easily resolved.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
