Gauff Wants to Visit the Vatican: "The Election of a Pope Is a Historic Event"
Ahead of the Rome tournament, Coco Gauff held a press conference where she was asked about the papal election starting this Wednesday—an event that will overshadow the Rome Masters 1000.
She stated: "I’m not Catholic, but I’ll try to go because the election of a pope is a historic event. I’ve learned a lot since I don’t know much about the Catholic religion.
Since I’m here, I’d love to go and see it."
For her opening match, she will face either Arianna Zucchini or Victoria Mboko.
