Vondrousova Withdraws Last Minute in Rome, Along with Cirstea

Marketa Vondrousova’s comeback will not happen in Rome after all. The Czech player, who hasn’t competed since February in Dubai, was expected to return in the Italian capital.

Suffering from a shoulder injury, she ultimately withdrew, as did Sorana Cirstea, who is dealing with a right leg injury.

They have been replaced by Kamilla Rakhimova and Olivia Gadecki.
