Hewitt's son falls at Wimbledon... his opponent celebrates like his father
Cruz Hewitt, son of Australian legend Lleyton, was defeated in the second round of Wimbledon Junior. After a strong first-round win against Savva Rybkin (6-1, 6-2), the 16-year-old couldn’t replicate his success in the next round, losing to Finland’s Oskari Paldanius in straight sets: 6-3, 6-0.
On the court, spectators witnessed some exchanges between Cruz and his father, who regularly attends his son’s matches. The young player appeared frustrated during the match, having yet to progress beyond the second round in a junior Grand Slam this year.
Another notable moment: after his victory, Paldanius paid tribute by mimicking Lleyton Hewitt’s iconic celebration.
