"I could play the semifinals and finals right now," Swiatek in great form during US Open doubles
Partnered in doubles, the Swiatek-Ruud pair surprised quite a few observers by easily qualifying for the mixed doubles semifinals at the US Open. First by beating the American duo Keys-Tiafoe, then by overcoming the team composed of Musetti and McNally.
On the center court (Arthur Ashe Stadium) after this last match, the Polish player and recent Cincinnati winner commented on her current excellent form:
"I don't mind playing back-to-back matches, it's not a problem. I could play the semifinals and finals right now if necessary. I feel good, this part of the season has given me a lot of confidence, so I try to use it every time I step on the court. For me, all of this is super fun, so I could keep playing more matches today."
For a spot in the final, they will have to beat Draper and Pegula, another new pairing in this 2025 edition.
