"I don't expect much from myself this year," Raducanu lacking confidence before starting her fourth Wimbledon

The grass court season had started ideally for Emma Raducanu, reaching the quarterfinals in front of her home crowd at Queen's.
However, the British No.1 then suffered a back injury and was forced to withdraw from the Berlin tournament. Returning this week in Eastbourne, she lost in the second round to eventual champion Maya Joint.
Speaking to the media yesterday, the 2021 US Open winner admitted she's approaching this Wimbledon edition without real expectations:
"Honestly, I don't expect much from myself this year. I just want to go out there and enjoy the occasion fully. Opportunities to play at Wimbledon are rare - it only comes once a year and for a limited time.
I'm looking forward to getting on court, feeling the environment and the atmosphere. I feel like I'll need to play at a really good level of tennis on Monday if I want to get through."
After being eliminated in the round of 16 last year, Raducanu will begin her campaign tomorrow against young compatriot Mingge Xu on Court No.1.
