The question of switching to best-of-five matches for women resurfaces at every Grand Slam tournament. Naomi Osaka, the latest player asked about it, doesn’t seem opposed to the idea.

She stated, as quoted by Tennis World USA: "I think I’d do pretty well. I know it probably won’t ever happen. But I wouldn’t mind if it did.

Honestly, I think among all the things to equalize (between women and men), this might be one of the trickiest.

I’ve always known that men play five sets and women play three. Personally, I think it’s a bit tough to change that mindset.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
