I wouldn’t say I won because of my vacation in Ibiza, but it helped me enjoy life, Alcaraz discusses the importance of his break between Roland-Garros and Queen’s.

Crowned champion at Queen’s this Sunday, Carlos Alcaraz secured his fourth title of the year and the 21st of his young career.

The Spaniard, who seamlessly transitioned from clay to grass, highlighted in his press conference how his vacation in Ibiza helped him recharge:

"A lot of people ask me if I’ll go back. I hope so. As I’ve said before, I’m a player who needs time off to spend days with my friends, my family, and to step away from tennis.

The days I spent in Ibiza helped me not feel like a tennis player. I enjoyed myself, and it allowed me to return to the court with more energy and motivation.

It helped me a lot. I wouldn’t say I won because of my vacation in Ibiza, but it helped me enjoy life. After this tournament, I won’t be going home. I’ll stay in London and explore the city. I’ll see how the next few days go, but I’ll take the time to rest so I can prepare for Wimbledon in the best possible way.
