Injured in the calf, Gasquet withdraws from the Aix-en-Provence Challenger
Retirement is drawing ever closer for Richard Gasquet. The Biterrois, eliminated in the second round in Monte-Carlo, had marked the Aix-en-Provence Challenger as one of the last tournaments he planned to play in his farewell tour.
As reported by *L’Équipe* this Monday, he will ultimately not be in the tournament’s draw due to a "calf injury." A setback that is "nothing serious," according to his agent Julien Cassaigne.
As a result, Gasquet now has only two tournaments left to play before ending his career: the Bordeaux Challenger (May 12-18) and Roland-Garros (May 25 - June 8).
