“It all started with that promise,” Bublik reveals the secret to his great form
Alexander Bublik is having a great 2025 season. Currently ranked 16th in the world, his best ranking ever, he states he had a wake-up call at a specific moment earlier this year.
“My mentality has always remained the same; it hasn't changed. When I beat De Minaur at Roland-Garros a few months ago, I remember promising my coach that, from now on, I would focus entirely on tennis, on my professionalism, and on every single battle.
I wanted to see if I still had something left in me, something new, so from that moment on, I kept my promise, and that's why the results started to follow.
I have achieved several things this season that I am very proud of, but it all started with that promise. I'm no longer the type to waste opportunities by complaining about the conditions. Now, it's about playing tennis and enjoying it.”
