Jabeur withdraws in Miami, Paolini advances to the round of 16

Paolini faced Jabeur in the third round of the Miami Masters 1000. The Tunisian player had to withdraw due to a calf issue in the 8th game of the first set (4-3).
The 30-year-old player had just earned a break point to level the score at four games each. Paolini shared her thoughts on the court after the incident:

"It’s so tough to see scenes like that during a match. I hope she’ll be back soon and stays healthy.
She’s one of the nicest people on the tour. She’s always very friendly with everyone before and after matches. I wish her a speedy recovery."
Paolini will face the winner of the match between Osaka and Baptiste in the round of 16.
