Lois Boisson Announces Withdrawal from Wuhan and Reveals Details of Her Injury
It is now official: Lois Boisson will not compete in the Wuhan WTA 1000 (October 6-12). The French player, forced to retire mid-match in Beijing, is suffering from a left quadriceps tear, according to a message posted on her Instagram account.
"The tests I underwent after my third round in Beijing showed a left quadriceps tear, therefore, I will not be able to participate in the Wuhan tournament next week. I will do everything I can to still play tournaments in 2025. Thank you for all the messages of support."
To recap, after two victories, including one against world number 21, Samsonova, Boisson had to retire at 6-2, 1-0 during her third round match against Emma Navarro in Beijing.
