Mahut to Play Doubles Again Alongside Herbert in Bordeaux and at Roland-Garros
Nicolas Mahut is making his big comeback on the tour! The 43-year-old French player, who hasn’t appeared on the circuit since last year’s Wimbledon doubles tournament, will pick up his racket again in the coming weeks.
The former world No. 1 in doubles and winner of five Grand Slam titles—who also claimed four singles titles—will compete in the doubles event at the Bordeaux Challenger alongside his iconic partner, Pierre-Hugues Herbert, as announced by the tournament organizers during a press conference this Tuesday.
The duo, who triumphed at the 2015 US Open, 2016 Wimbledon, 2018 and 2021 Roland-Garros, as well as the 2019 Australian Open, among others, will reunite once more and will also be present at Roland-Garros this year.
Having worked as a consultant for Eurosport in recent months, the Angers native—who played the longest match in history against John Isner in 2010—will rediscover the thrill of competition at two tournaments held in France.
