Medvedev qualifies for semi-finals in Marseille

Daniil Medvedev continues his serene run at the Open 13 this week.
The Russian, seeded No.1 in the tournament, defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarter-finals in a match that was only suspenseful for the first set.
Medvedev was rushed from the start, having to save two break points at 2-1 in favor of Struff, then two more in the next game at 3-2.
After these missed break points, the German lost his footing and let the world No. 8 slip away, winning the first set with some difficulty, before unravelling in the second.
In the semi-finals, Medvedev will face the winner of the final quarter-final between Hamad Medjedovic and Daniel Altmaier.
On the other side of the draw, defending champion Ugo Humbert reached the last four after beating Lorenzo Sonego (6-4, 6-4) and will face Zizou Bergs in the semi-finals.
