Monfils: "Maybe I'd like to work in finance".
Gaël Monfils is a model of longevity. At the age of 38, he has had another fine season, holding on to a decent 55ᵉ world ranking.
Achieving some standout results, the Frenchman doesn't seem to want to retire just yet. In a YouTube video in which he answered questions from his fans, Monfils opened up without taboos on a number of subjects.
For example, he revealed what kind of career change he was considering, and what plans he had for his YouTube channel: "Maybe I'd like to work in finance, as a wealth manager or in a private bank. That appeals to me. Alternatively, I could work with a brand to manage partnerships, or stay in multimedia, which I really enjoy. I have several ideas, but nothing definite at the moment.
I've changed the way I communicate this year. We've added a new person to the team who will help us create concepts for YouTube. I love entertaining and showing tennis from a different angle, with vlogs and original content. We're also going to explore other platforms to stay authentic and entertain you as much as possible."
