Monfils Withdraws from Cincinnati in Turn
After Arthur Fils withdrew from the Cincinnati Masters 1000, Gaël Monfils has now also pulled out.
According to L’Équipe, this withdrawal is due to pain in his left wrist. The Frenchman, currently struggling for wins, will now make his next appearance at the US Open.
Monfils will arrive at the American Grand Slam without a single victory in his warm-up tournaments, having suffered early exits in Washington and Toronto.
Aleksandar Vukic will replace the Frenchman and face Nishesh Basavareddy this Friday.
