Moutet claims he received death threats from Kotov at the Aix-en-Provence Challenger
The first-round match at the Aix-en-Provence Challenger between Corentin Moutet and Pavel Kotov was interrupted due to nightfall, with both players locked in a crucial moment of the third set (7-6, 3-6, 5-5).
However, it was after this interruption that Moutet took to his X account (formerly Twitter) to allege that Kotov had made death threats against him during the match.
Moutet: *"'Next time you come to the net, I’ll kill you. One day, someone will kill you.' There wasn’t even a warning. Apparently, these words are allowed on court. How do you expect (addressing the ATP) me not to get involved if you don’t do your job?"*
The post was later deleted by the French player, who then reshared the information with the following message: *"I’m going to have trouble sleeping…"*
